TECH blog Discovery News posted a note yesterday about a new mold-killer used to treat outdoor furniture. We thought it was pretty cool and maybe some of our readers might be interested in it.

The blog had featured this finding in an earlier post about lawn furniture being coated with a polymer that had titanium dioxide as an ingredient. When used in the polymer, it was found to have worked well in killing bacteria and fungi.
Later, researchers of a furniture store decided to use the same titanium dioxide in a different formulation for use on its outdoor chairs and tables. They worked beautifully.
The company’s marketing manager told DNews that the furniture would be ready for sale at the end of the summer. (photo by DNews)
