Air quality egg one of Kickstarter’s best projects in 2012

Mother Nature Network reported on Monday of an “egg” making waves in the tech world.

This is no ordinary egg, of course, but one that measures air quality right outside your window.

What the Air Quality Egg can tell you: What is the air really like? And how does that compare to the air being breathed in another part of the country, or around the world?

The Egg was launched last year on the crowd-funding site Kickstarter where it exceeded its initial $39,000 goal and raised more than $144,000 – a distinction that earned it a rank on Kickstarter’s “best of 2012” list.
